Words Women Use

This is a spoof-survey on understanding the women, what they said and what they actually meant to be.

FINE
This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up

FIVE MINUTES
If she is getting dressed, this is half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given 5 more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.

NOTHING
This is the calm before the storm. This means "something," and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with 'Nothing' usually end in "Fine."

GO AHEAD
This is a dare, not permission. Don't do it.

LOUD SIGH
This is not actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A "Loud Sigh" means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you over "Nothing"

THAT'S OKAY
This is one of the most dangerous statements that a woman can make to a man. "That's Okay" means that she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.

THANKS
A woman is thanking you. Do not question it or faint. Just say you're welcome.

So I guess woman is a very hard-to-understand homo sapien huh?

Pride or Love?

There is a saying that goes by this:

"It's better to lose your pride to the one you love,
than to lose the one you love because of the pride.

We spend too much time looking for the right person to love
or finding fault with those that we already love,
when instead we should be perfecting the love we give.
"

I plead guilty to these statements!

Cupid is evading me?

well, after my return from overseas business trip (to boring Germany again), I bought some hard-to-find chocolate back. On the very next day since my return, I brought these chocolates to one of my possibilities (or is the last available possible?) and in return I get some cold replies from her. After checking again her profile in friendster did I realise that she had changed her status from 'single' to 'in a relationship'.

Ever since I broke off with my one and only gf in 1999, I have not been successful in my courtship. I could even 'go after' a girl (whom I still like) from 2001 till 2004 to no avail - till she got married this year.

Well, back to the present, this very gal once told me (last year), after she sensed that I could be after her, that she wasn't ready for a relationship after cooling off from a 7-year-relationship. My mistake was to give her the cold shoulder after that and did not pursue the motion further. Only months later (last Sunday) then I realised that not every gal meant what she said. Afterall, she belongs to the more sporty type of person while myself is an diehard introvert.

Cupid is not with me and I do feel the pressure these days - in work and in play. Work is on-the-rock with me having a new boss who swears within 3 sentences of conversation - definitely not a professional attitude. I do hate it when he casually mentioned my apprasial performance whenever we engage in small talk, like wanting me to help him do small little tasks, etc, even in front of other people. Such a talk in USA will have resulted in a law suit for sure. But alas, this is Singapore! We could only follow the shit from the buttock of our bosses.

Oh that was work. Love? Equally as bad, if not worst. It's a zero to show. Somehow, it also have to do with my 1-and-0 attitude. I quote from Geroge Bush "Either you are with us, or you are with them" or from Stars War "Either you are with me, or you are my enemy". That has always been my attitude - clear to the point and precise!
